Robin René Roberts is an American television broadcaster. She was born on the 23rd of November 1960 in Tuskegee, Alabama, United States. A product and a cum laude of Southeastern Louisiana University, she first started off her career as a a sports anchor for local TV and radio stations after she graduated in college.
She took inspiration for her older sister Sally-Ann Roberts, an anchor at the CBS affiliate WWL-TV in New Orleans. She followed her steps and pursued the same profession. It was in the year 1990 when she joined ESPN as a sportscaster. Nowadays, she remains one of the successful sports anchor in the industry.
Robin was diagnosed with cancer, but she didn’t stop working hard to make her health better. She pushed herself more to workout and follow a healthy diet. She said in an interview that she’s a lot healthier these days. According to her, “Before, I would play a little hoops, a little tennis. Now it’s more Yoga, Pilates, stretching, some light weight work, push-ups, sit-ups, resistance things.”
