Dena Kaplan - celebhealthy_comDena Kaplan is a South African-born Australian actress, singer, and dancer. She was born on January 20, 1989 in Johannesburg, South Africa. In the year 2005, she started to appear on screen when she was cast on the TV series “Scooter: Secret Agent” in one of its episodes, playing a minor role. She later on became prominent when she was cast on Dance Academy, playing the main role Abigail Armstrong from 2010 to 2013.

What’s her exercise routine like? In one of her interviews, Dena said, “I have to work pretty hard to stay in shape. I am not naturally or genetically blessed! I always train hard because I love fitness, although I do often have injuries that come from being so flexible. Leading up to camp I knew I was playing an athlete who was a Olympic hopeful so it was more about looking the role than the fact that I was in a bikini. I did a lot of research into college swimmers and knew they trained hard and all had very fit, toned, physiques. I wanted to look as authentic as possible. I did more cardio and more weights.”

When it comes to diet, she said, “I kept a strict diet of fish, grains, vegetables, nuts and  salad for about a month. Then after that I just tried to maintain a healthy eating plan with a lot of protein, good fats and lots of veggies! It was difficult to maintain the plan during filming as we had no time to workout or plan meals, but I did the best I could! I did work hard though, as I wanted Sarah to look like a real swimmer, instead of an actress playing a swimmer.”

Anna Silk - celebhealthy_comAnna Silk, now Anna Silk Cooperton, is a Canadian actress. She was born on January 31, 1974 in Fredericton, Canada. She is recognized throughout Canada for playing Deb, an overstressed flight attendant attempting to quit smoking in the Nicoderm nicotine patch TV commercials. From 2009 to 2010, she was seen on the TV series Being Erica. She also played a significant role on the TV series Lost Girl from 2010 to 2015.

How does this beautiful woman keep her body in great shape, by the way? “I try to stay really fit,” she said in an interview. “I love doing fight scenes, and they take a lot ofg energy. You really have to be fit to do the show — probably any show, to be honest, but especially one that has a physical role. When I’m filming, I work with my stunt double. She trains me as well. She’s really fantastic. In the off-season, I just try to stay really strong. I’ve done some martial arts training, more so for television than for me having a black belt! Between first and second season, I realized where I could improve, and it mostly had to do with being a little bit more grounded and a little bit more solid on my feet, so that’s what I worked on.”

Don’t you know that Anna is a vegan? “I sort of follow a vegan and/or vegetarian diet, to be honest,” she explained. “I kind of regret saying about… Well, I don’t regret it, but people hold you to a lot of things when you say something like that. I have been a vegetarian most of my life, and I decided to become vegan right before season 2. I would say right now I’m about 95% vegan still, but every once in a while I have eggs, I’m not going to lie! I’ve always been interested in that kind of a lifestyle anyway, even if I wasn’t an actor, and even if it didn’t have anything to do with maintaining a certain physique. I’ve always been geared more towards vegetarianism… and from an ethical point of view, to be perfectly honest.”

Sachin Tendulkar - celebhealthy_comSachin Ramesh Tendulkar is a former Indian cricketer and captain. He was born on April 24, 1973 in Mumbai, India. The wife of Anjali Tendulkar, he is the father of Sara Tendulkar and Arjun Tendulkar and the son of Rajni Tendulkar and Ramesh Tendulkar, he took up cricket at the age of eleven, made his Test debut on 15 November 1989 against Pakistan in Karachi at the age of sixteen, and went on to represent Mumbai domestically and India internationally for close to twenty-four years. Nowadays, he still remains a popular sports celebrity.

How does Sachin maintain his fitness routine? A source said that food and Sachin go together.”They go together, like runs and Tendulkar,” a source shared. “The difference is that Tendulkar chases food whereas it is the runs that chase him: he can not escape the clutches of runs! For someone who looks and obviously is so fit, you would think that he has a lot of yesses and noes in matters of diet. No such thing exists for dear old Tendulkar. He eats anything that come his way. He could eat any good food but it is always sea food that sees him queuing up, so to speak. And, so much better if it is prepared at home. He loves steaks too. Bengali food and also Thai preparations have a place in his heart. Lobster done Bengali style can always find a place in his gastronomical system. As we told you before, he is game for anything. He can not say no to sweets. The best mango variety, the Alphonso is his favorite fruit.”

The source continued, “He is lucky that his hobby and his job are one and the same and it is his free fitness regime too. He does not stop at it though cricket itself is enough of a physical exercise. After a hectic day, he does breathing exercises as a stress-buster. Also included is meditation. Meditation has a calming effect on him.

What’s her training like? Here’s what Maritza shared in one of her interviews: “I am currently not training full time, but I do like to engage in a lot of clinics. I’ll be speaking to elementary school kids on the benefits of swimming to stay fit, water safety education and about the learn-to-swim programs.”

For her, staying in shape is really important. “I think it was important, at least for me,” she said. “Being an athlete and always wanting to stay in shape, I definitely heard good things about staying active when you are pregnant. I made it a goal to work out as long as possible. They don’t recommend working out the last month or so – and I didn’t overdo it in step class or anything – but I felt good being active, so I stayed with it, but under control.”

He also became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with Distinction from National Strength & Conditioning Association. In addition, he also became a co-founder of Strength & Conditioning Research Review.

When it comes to his diet, he said he practices flexible dieting. He said, “I’m a big fan of flexible dieting (I created a flexible diet guideline for my 2 x 4: Maximum Strength product) – with this system you can work whatever foods you want into your nutrition as long as it fits your macros. You want some Keebler cheese and peanut butter sandwich crackers? Have at it, just make sure you nail your numbers for the day. You have taste buds that don’t enjoy sweets? I hate you, you lucky son of a bitch, but in this case you wouldn’t use up any of your macros with sweets, you simply work the foods that you prefer into your day.”

He added, “One problem is, many individuals don’t have as much wiggle room as they think they do with their diets. They realize this as soon as they start tracking and stop guessing with regards to their food intake. After finally downloading an app and actually tracking their macros, many of my clients realize that they’re taking in way more calories than they think or they have a few days per week where they go way over what they claim, which sabotages their progress.”

Your health isn’t limited to a gym, a diet, or the image you see in the mirror. Your health is what you make of it. The real distinction between healthy and unhealthy is giving a damn about your body, and making sure you do something ‐ heck, anything ‐ consistenly so that you can live a long, active life, take care of your self, and take care of others in this world.”

For over 25 countries in Europe, he has presented his signature sessions. He also taught in the Asian, African and & the American continents. Now let’s hear about his SoulCycle tips to everyone. “I tell beginners to not sit in the front row,” he advised. “You need to get accustomed to the flow, the difficulty and even basic form. So for newbies it’s a great advantage to sit second or third row. Make sure you can always see the instructor in class. Introduce yourself to the teacher no matter what. Speak up! Educate yourself and ask questions after class.”

As for diet while doing SoulCycle, he said, “Don’t go high-fiber before a workout. I’m not saying that fiber isn’t important, but it’s not the best idea to do it right before cycling or aerobic movement. It can get embarrassing.”

When it comes to his diet, here’s what Nate shared in an interview: “When you’re trying to gain muscle fast, you want things to be as simple and boring as possible. Choice is the enemy; routine is your friend. Too many choices equals too much mental energy and no action. That’s why I ate the same meals over and over for the entire 28-day weight-gain portion of the experiment.”

He added, “While I could choose what kind of meat I ate or what vegetables or flavor of jam I wanted, I had to follow the measurement guidelines exactly. No guesswork. No funny business. Just lots and lots of food. Eating more calories on days you lift weights pushes your body into its peak anabolic state, giving it more carbs to distribute to muscle cells during protein syntehsis. This helps you build more muscle.”

He is actually famous online as a fitness celebrity, particularly posting on Schwartzenegger.com, T-Nation, and Bodybuilding.com. He is also known as a super coach and challenger, particularly creating fitness challenges like the 100 Repetition Bulgarian Split Squat Challenge.

What is philosophy regarding diet? Here’s what he said in one of his interviews: “My philosophy is that the best diet is one that you will be able to follow CONSISTENTLY. While many people get bogged down in the minutia of specific diets, the real key is consistently eating good foods (we all know what these are on some level). From there, it depends on your goals. If you’re looking to lose fat, you must be a in caloric deficit, and if you are looking to gain weight you must be in a caloric surplus. Simple. With that said, this does not give people much direction, so following a nutrition template can be helpful.”

One of his tips is protein-consumption. “Eat protein with every meal,” he advised. “This is the biggest thing in my opinion. This is especially important for people trying to lose weight. It seems counter-intuitive to increase protein to lose weight, but protein will help to conserve muscle when you are in a caloric deficit. You don’t want to be one of those people that focuses on weight loss only to realize you dieted all your muscle away and just look skinny. Not cool. Every single meal I have will include some sort of protein: meat, eggs, egg whites, cottage cheese, or protein powder.”

He added, “The Masai subsist on cattle blood and meat and milk and little else. Native Americans subsist on beans and maize. And the Inuit in Greenland subsist on whale blubber and a little bit of lichen. The irony is, the one diet we have invented for ourselves — the Western diet — is the one that makes us sick.”

Born on October 20, 1965, he wrote the books such as The Plantpower Way: Whole Food Plant-Based Recipes and Guidance for The Whole Family, and Finding Ultra.

Rich is one of the celebrities who went Vegan. In his blog, he wrote, “I initially went vegan — oh the dreaded five letter word! — for fairly selfish reasons. Subsisting on a steady rotation of cheeseburgers, fries and pizza for the better part of my life, I found myself at 39 a fat, out-of-shape couch potato hurdling into middle age, depressed and unenthusiastic about my life. Barely able to ascend a simple flight of stairs without a break, it took a health scare on the eve of my 40th birthday to realize not only that I needed to change, but that I wanted to change.”

According to him, resorting to a plant-based diet has many benefits. He said, “By eating nothing but plants close to their natural state, I lost weight quickly and responsibly. My skin cleared up. My mental acuity sharpened. My sleep improved and my mood elevated. After abusing myself with drugs, alcohol and horrible diet and lifestyle choices for decades, it was quite a pleasant shock to find my vitality and enthusiasm for life so rapidly restored.”

Natalie Jill is a fitness expert. The owner of Natalie Jill Fitness, she started her journey towards fitness at the age of 39, leaving her corporate job and venturing into the world of fitness and nutrition by working as a fitness model. Nowadays, she is regarded as one of the influential fitness experts in the world.

In her website, Natalie shared her fitness tips. According to her, planning is a very important tool. She wrote, “You have to prepare and plan. Don’t go to the grocery store hungry but think through when, how and what you want to eat for the week. Make a list of exactly what you need and make a weekly event (or daily, or bi-weekly, whatever works!) and stick to your list.”

She also emphasized that it’s not that good to deprive yourself. She said, “It is okay to have your favorite foods as long as you don’t over-do it! I LOVE chocolate and definitely have some most days but the key word is “some.” One small piece of dark chocolate satisfies the craving if I have eaten balanced meals the rest of the day.”
